Testimonials

Pete

“Aidan is an excellent coach. My wife and myself have had the honor of training with Aidan several times and we keep going back to take private lessons for several reasons. Aidan’s teaching style is very clear. He makes it easy to comprehend important West Coast Swing fundamentals. I already see an improvement in my dancing. Secondly, Aidan is a people person. So his customer service is top-notch. With his great personality, the lessons are super fun. I highly recommend Aidan to any student at any dance level.”

Alicia

“Aidan is a talented, dedicated, professional, and enthusiastic coach/mentor. It was a pleasure to have dances with him in a Pro/Am routine at the US Open and fully recommend him in his future endeavors.”

Brynna

“Aidan is one of my favorite teachers and his private lessons are full of insightful information. I particularly appreciate his ability to balance giving feedback on small fixes alongside bigger/harder changes that will take a while to implement; I always feel both challenged and motivated after our lessons. Aidan also does an impressive job of being able to change his explanations/metaphors on the fly if something isn’t clicking. I also really appreciate that we do so much dancing and trying things out in our lessons. Which perhaps sounds silly for a dance lesson, but I personally have a pretty short attention span, and I struggle with classes or lessons that are heavier on the talking/listening. Whereas I tend to learn a lot more if we talk about something concisely and then we try it in a few different ways so I can immediately feel/understand the feedback. Finally, as a queer woman who primarily leads, I feel very safe and comfortable working with Aidan.”

  • I can teach out of most local studios in San Diego, and also offer 24 Hour Fitness as a flexible location that with no floor fee(save $15 per lesson on average). I can also teach at your home if you live within a 30 minute drive.

  • Absolutely. If you're not local, or want supplemental coaching between in-person lessons, I am availble to work over Zoom.

  • Lessons are 60 or 90 minutes.

  • Comfortable clothing you can move in, and shoes with a smooth sole (not rubbery or sticky). Most people wear casual sneakers or dance shoes.

  • No. Most of my students are social dancers who just want to feel more relaxed, confident, and connected on the floor. Competition training is available if you want it, but it’s not required.
